About Dr. Lonette Belizaire

I am a U.S. licensed psychologist and consultant with over twenty years of clinical and leadership experience across hospital, academic, and private practice settings.
My work has been shaped by rigorous training and years of direct clinical practice. I bring a careful, analytic perspective to psychotherapy, grounded in both theory and applied experience.
Professional Degree
I hold a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology and have completed extensive supervised training in psychotherapy and psychological assessment. I have worked in a range of clinical and educational environments, including hospital systems, group private practices, and academic institutions such as Cornell University, the University of California, Santa Barbara, Pratt Institute, Towson University, and the Hunter College Campus Schools.

Across these settings, I have supported individuals navigating anxiety, mood-related concerns, stress, relational challenges, cultural and identity-related experiences, and significant life transitions. I have also worked with high-achieving students, professionals, and creatives, whose internal experiences often exist alongside high levels of responsibility.

In addition to direct clinical work, I have served as a clinical administrator, a role that has further shaped my judgment, discretion, and understanding of complex systems of care.
Licensure and Education
I am licensed to practice psychology in New York, Florida, and New Jersey.
